Bringing Back Blood

The new Trailer for "Alien vs Predator: Requiem", the second installment of the AvP Series, directed by Colin and Greg Strause of "Rise of the Silver Surfer" and "300" fame, has hit the intertubes and I'm quite happy to say that this is one Alien movie that actually seems to have blood in it.

And oh boy do we like that!

Hollywood needs to stop pampering its movie goers with Politically-Correct movies and storylines about people overcoming their problems and becoming perfect idols for us all, and go back to the late 80s, where, at least on celluloid, life was hard, and when monsters where around there was actual blood spilt.

Long gone seem to be the days of James Cameron's action extravaganzas like "Aliens 2" and "Terminator 2". Perhaps such movies were their own downfall, generating countless cheap copies, and creating an investor fear for expensive sci-fi action movies or simply "blood heavy" movies.

Nowadays both people and monsters are getting blown up onscreen with better quality than ever before, but with no blood, red or green, to show for it.

Already Sylvester Stallone's latest self-directed return into John J. Rambo's psyche is garnering net notoriety for being ultra-violent. You won't only see blood on this movie, this is a bonafide two hour anatomy lesson.

Therefore let me hereby petition: Bring Back the Blood!
